We’re a regular family who worked incredibly hard to buy our dream home in 2021. For me, the joy of owning property was personal—coming from a low-income family, I grew up in a one-bedroom apartment as a family of five.

So, the feeling of owning our home meant everything. What should have been the start of a new chapter turned quickly into a nightmare, due to Santa Barbara County Planning & Development and others.

I used to be a software developer, but now I’m a stay-at-home mom to two young kids and an energetic Australian Shepherd. I believe in the truth, in standing up for my rights, and holding our local government accountable.
